With a strong academic foundation, Akua holds an MSc in Data Science from the University of Aberdeen, UK, where she conducted groundbreaking research on Unraveling the Complex Interactions of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Her research provided data-driven insights into the synergies and trade-offs between SDGs, offering evidence-based strategies for holistic goal achievement. She also holds a BSc in Quantity Surveying and Construction Economics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana, where she investigated the Sustainability Knowledge Gap in the Training of Built Environment Students, highlighting the urgent need for sustainability integration in higher education curricula.

 

Akua has built a distinguished career in sustainable infrastructure and development, having previously held roles such as Content Analyst at the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), UK, where she spearheaded the development of technical publications, CPD modules, and data-driven industry research. Her ability to synthesize complex information and produce high-impact reports has contributed significantly to global discussions on construction safety, sustainability, and innovation.

 

Her professional journey also includes her tenure as a Construction Projects Officer at Pergola Creations Limited (Architectural Firm), where she implemented data-driven inventory management and safety compliance frameworks. She later took on the role of Inventory and Projects Supervisor at Halliwell Company Limited, refining her expertise in project scheduling, resource optimization, and regulatory compliance within the oil and gas sector.

 

Beyond her industry engagements, Akua is deeply committed to academia and research. She served as a Teaching and Research Assistant at KNUST, where she mentored students, co-supervised dissertations, and contributed to research publications. Her passion for knowledge dissemination continues to shape her leadership at Architra SBV, where she fosters interdisciplinary collaborations in sustainable infrastructure and policy innovation.
